A cup of family, a splash of theology, and a pinch of frugality. Mix until well incorporated.

Holy Week

So I can't believe Easter is this Sunday! We are anxiously awaiting the weekend, as we will be traveling to be with my family in NY. Our last trip home was in February when Anna was 6 weeks old. She is now almost 12 weeks and has grown up so much. She is now very responsive, with smiles, laughs, and coos when Mommy and Daddy talk to her. I'm glad Jesse will be able to come to NY this time, as he caught a cold the morning we were to leave last time and I made him stay in Boston.

We had a great Palm Sunday. Anna was all dressed up (see above picture). My friend Tanya and I joined the choir at church, as they needed sopranos, and Palm Sunday was our big debut! The choir sang in both services. :) It has been a lot of fun to be involved in this ministry... I enjoy singing, but haven't been in a choir since high school! And I'm definitely enjoying the break from baby during our rehearsals. Jesse is enjoying the Daddy/Daughter time with Anna, too.

On another note, turkeys were on sale this week at the grocery store, so I decided to cook a turkey on Palm Sunday. It was my first, and came out pretty tasty. Since I bought a 13lb bird for the two of us... I have designated this week as "Turkey Week." We have already had it twice for dinner, and I'm about to make some turkey soup. Tends to be the trend lately, as the week of St. Patrick's Day was "Corned Beef Week" at our home.

I'll keep you updated on our travels and time with my family. Have a blessed Easter!
